The beautiful Carthage Square is reminiscent of small towns years ago where people gathered on Saturday nights to do their shopping and hear the latest news from neighbors and friends.
Several wonderful stores with a wide variety of merchandise still surround the historic courthouse and make the Square a nice place to wander. Stop in and visit the shops or just relax on one of the many benches that are available.
Many other great shopping opportunities exist scattered around the community. Stop in at the Chamber of Commerce office on the Square at 8 S. Madison Street to get information.
