IMPACT @ Carthage Library

IMPACT is a weekly event held on Monday from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm for Middle and High School students.

Students have the opportunity to choose activites, such as cooking, science experiments, and various STEAM activities. ( science, technology, Art, and  Math) IMPACT group members may come anytime throughout the event and do not have to attend regularly or sign up to join. A sign in sheet is available during each session.

Students participating in Impact may also assist Library Staff in planning and decorating for events.

IMPACT will break during Christmas Eve and New Years Eve rusuming Janurary 7th.

Memorial Day Service

Memorial Day services will be held at the entrance to Moss Ridge Cemetery (north edge of Carthage) on Monday, May 27.  The band will begin playing at 9:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The event is coordinated by the Carthage VFW and the Phillip Hartzell American Legion posts.  Please join us in honoring our fallen soldiers.

Play to Learn at Carthage Public Library

Play to learn is a pre literacy story time and play group for children ages 0-3 ( older siblings welcome)

Early literacy and socialization are a great way for parents and caregivers to connect while assisting their children in growth and development. We are closed and there will be no Play to learn on Veterans day, Monday, Nov. 11th.
