VFW Post 5117 hosts a chicken and fish fry the second and fourth Fridays of each month at their post canteen.

St James Council will host a fish fry at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church basement hall, 125 N Fayette St. Serving from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Catfish and Pollock filets several side dishes. Adults -- $7.00, Children under 12 -- $3.50, Children 3 and under -- free. Cheese pizza available for children. Catholic Womens Club will have a dessert sale.
