Transportation

Carthage is easily accessible by local highways. In 2006 a four-lane highway was completed that connects Carthage with points south and makes travel to and from our area even easier and faster. This four-lane highway will extend to Macomb by 2009, completing construction of this major area travel route. An easy thirty-minute drive will take you to local airports providing daily commercial air service or municipal airports to house private planes. River barge traffic on the Mississippi can be accessed in nearby ports.
