The Hancock County 4^th of July Committee is looking for Food Vendors and Activities for their upcoming annual 4^th of July Celebration. There will be a parade at 10:00. Other entertainment includes music from Tom Roush, followed by a Hypnotist, then Center Stage Entertainment, a series of Firefighter Water Fights, and a Pedal Tractor Pull. If you, your group or organization, profit or non-profit, are interested in a money making project, this is a great opportunity. On July 4^th hundreds of people will be attending the parade, watching stage entertainment, and be participating in activities on the courthouse square. Vendors for food, activities, and crafts are needed. We would like to see more activities for the children, and welcome creative ideas!

Entry forms are available on the Carthage Chamber website http://www.carthage-il.com (here). Mail the completed entry form back to: Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 247, Carthage, IL 62321 before June 1, 2008.

The committee will try to monitor duplications. You will need to bring you own equipment such as tables, electric cords, etc. In case of rain the event will be postponed.

Temporary Food Service Permits are required to be completed if you do not already have a Food Service Permit for Hancock County. If you already have a Food Permit please provide us with this information. Any questions regarding the handling of food should be directed to the Hancock County Health Department (217) 357-2171
